Battle Phase orders.
Battle Phase
In your Battle Phase, you can select 1 unexhausted spirit and attack with it. In
that case, your opponent can also select 1 unexhausted spirit they control and
block with it. Of course, either player still can choose not to attack or block with
any spirits. As long as you have 1 or more unexhausted spirits, you can keep
attacking with them. When you launch an attack, follow the procedures below.
If you don’t launch any attacks in your Attack Step, none of the following occurs
and proceed to the End Phase. * this Phase is skipped in the 1st player’s first turn.
1) AttACk SteP: The attacking player may select 1 unexhausted spirit
and attack with it. As soon as a spirit attacks or blocks, exhaust that
card by turning it sideways. If a spirit is exhausted, it can neither attack
nor block. If the attacking player does not attack with any spirits, skip
the following and proceed to the End Phase.
* refer to Pg 24 for “exhaust”
2) FlASh SteP (1): The blocking player gets to play a card, use an
effect with (Flash Step) timing or pass first. Regardless of whether the
blocking player played a card, used an effect or passed, the attacking
player gets to do the same thing next. Players go back and forth until
both players pass in a row. The effects of spells resolve as soon as
their costs are paid.
3) BlOCk SteP: The blocking player may select 1 unexhausted spirit
and block with it. As soon as a spirit attacks or blocks ,exhaust
that card by turning it sideways. If a spirit is exhausted, it can
neither attack nor block. If the blocking player does not block with
any spirits, skip “Flash Step (2)” and proceed to “Showdown Step”
instead* refer to Pg 24 for “exhaust
